BBO crystal (β - BaB2O4) is a nonlinear optical crystal with various significant advantages and wide applications. The BBO crystal has a wide wavelength range for phase matching (409.6-3500nm) and a wide transmission wavelength range (190-3500nm), making it very useful in various laser frequency conversion applications. In addition, BBO crystals have a high frequency doubling conversion efficiency (equivalent to 6 times that of KDP crystals) and a high damage threshold (1064nm10GW/cm ^ 2 with a pulse width of 100ps), indicating that they can withstand high-power lasers without being easily damaged.
